Donald Trump tried to appear nonchalant in his lone tweet Wednesday morning. He has been impeached, and that stain will never go away. His impeachment trial will begin tomorrow when his attorneys will fight for POTUS to keep his job. Still, the stress of it all appears to be taking it’s toll physically.
Today, he was hosting a Chinese trade delegation. He sounded more like the manager of I Love Lucy’s fame, Ricky Ricardo in his nightclub. Trump’s introductions were reminiscent of the fictional character as he introduced all of the important people in the White Huse audience. All the while, POTUS knew the formidable House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was moving his impeachment ever forward.
Pelosi announced the seven impeachment managers who will be on the impeachment manager team, also known as prosecutors. She chose people from a variety of locations, ethnicities, and backgrounds, What they do have in common is their closeness to the Speaker, a strong history of serving as a litigator, and a logical mind.
The president tweeted:
‘Here we go again, another Con Job by the Do Nothing Democrats. All of this work was supposed to be done by the House, not the Senate!’
Only one of the seven was not an attorney, Florida Representative Val Demings (D). Instead, she was chief of police for the city of Orlando.
Trump continued. But did he not know that today’s work was completed in the House, not the Senate? Apparently not, because he tweeted:
‘All of this work was supposed to be done by the House, not the Senate.’
Then, Trump decided to promote his speech in the White House today. He tweeted:
