FBI Pays Visit To Ukraine Implicated Trump & Parnas Pal

One of Donald Trump and Lev Parnas’ pals just got a knock at the door that is most people’s worst nightmare. The Federal Bureau of Investigation just showed up at Robert Hyde’s house after he was implicated in the Ukraine scandal.

Hyde is a congressional candidate out of Connecticut and strong admirer of Donald Trump. He is also pretty chummy with Lev Parnas. Hyde was implicated in the scandal when a “trove” of information released by House Democrats showed his close involvement with the surveillance of former Ukrainian Ambassador and impeachment witness, Marie Yovanovitch.

According to CNN:

Text messages show Hyde was involved in efforts to surveil and remove former US Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch from her post in Kiev.

FBI and Manhattan federal prosecutors are examining the role Hyde played regarding Yovanovitch and his relationship to Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas, according to a law enforcement official.

Just yesterday, Hyde was on CNN being interviewed by Eric Bolling, when Bolling asked him if he had “had eyes on Yovanovitch.” Hyde replied, “Absolutely not.” He continued:

“You meet a bunch of these characters when you’re out there in the fundraising at events and supporting candidates. And you know, we just had some colorful texts, you know, had a few pops way back when.”

Check out the very weird text messages from Robert Hyde to Lev Parnas regarding the stalking of Marie Yovanovitch:

Hyde then went after Lev Parnas’ credibility when he said that Parnas’ implications of him in the Ukraine scandal were “pretty heavy accusations.” He continued with, “it was just colorful — we were playing, I thought we were playing. I didn’t know he was, I didn’t know he was so serious.”

Connecticut Republican Party Chair J.R. Romano said this about the debacle:

“It’s not helpful to the President. It’s not helpful to other Republican candidates. And it provides an opportunity for Democrats to raise money. It allows the opposition to label all Republicans with these comments.”
