House Democrats finished up their opening arguments on Friday, trying to convince Republican Senators that what Trump has done merits his removal from office.

‘Vote against the president and your head will be on a pike.’
In opening statements, House managers examined the debunked conspiracy theories invoked by Pres. Trump.

On Friday, Schiff told Republican senators:
‘You don’t realize how important character is in the highest office in the land, until you don’t have it. Do you think for a moment he would not investigate you?’
‘It could be you.’
According to CBS:
‘Schiff reminded senators that the president had asked foreign countries to “investigate one of our fellow citizens.”‘
‘It doesn’t matter that it’s Joe Biden, a man who is running for president. He’s still a U.S. citizen, and he deserves better than that.’
On Saturday, Mr. Trump’s team will begin its opening arguments.
