Trump Makes A Spectacle At Tuesday Night N.J. Rally

Despite his impeachment trial being well underway, Mr. Trump has continued the stops on his 2020 presidential campaign trail, rallying up support from his base.

On Tuesday night, the president made his way to Wildwood, New Jersey, where tens of thousands of Trump supporters filled the lots around the convention center, which holds up to 7,000 people.

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and White House adviser Kellyanne Conway were both expected to be there.

According to

‘New Jersey is famously a blue state where polls show President Donald Trump is largely unpopular — and that often puts the state’s Republicans in a tricky situation.’

According to

‘Former state Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, who just launched his second straight bid for the party’s nomination for governor, greeted some of the thousands of people who waited to get into the Wildwoods Convention Center for Trump’s event.’

Ciattarelli said:

‘His policies have worked for us on a national level.’

He went on to say:

‘I’m one of those people that believes you should go everywhere, meet with everyone, and listen to everyone.’

State Republican Party Chairman Doug Steinhardt noted that he wasn’t surprised by the turnout and said:

‘When you you spend time talking to people, they’re disgusted with the direction of the state. They’re frustrated. They know the president’s listening to them.’

Steinhardt is considering a run against the current Democratic Governor Phil Murphy in 2021. New Jersey is a famously blue state where polls already show that Mr. Trump is unpopular.
