David Corn is not the kind of guy who makes a person think of shyness. The Washinton, D.C. bureau chief for The Mother Jones and MSNBC political analyst caught a video of himself confronting the president’s eldest son, Donald Trump, Jr. It was not pretty.

Corn asked Junior about his alleged meeting with a “Russian emissary” at Trump Tower while his father was in the midst of his 2016 presidential campaign. Speculations have arisen about the purpose of that controversial get together.

Donald the younger was not pleased to hear from Corn amid a breakfast filled with catsup bottles on Tuesday morning. The restaurant was in Manchester, New Hampshire. Corn posted the video of the encounter, which not as quarrelsome as anticipated:

‘At the Chez Vachon diner in Manchester, I asked ⁦⁦@Donald J. Trump Jr ⁩ why he thought it was appropriate to meet with a Russian emissary who he was told was part of a secret Kremlin effort to help ⁦@realDonaldTrump⁩’s campaign. Here’s what happened.’

The infamous Tower meeting also included Paul Manafort, Jared Kushner, a Russian attorney, and several other Russians. Ostensibly, the meeting was set to get some dirt on his father’s opponent in the election.

Trump Jr. had been told that this was “obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.”

The man occasionally sitting in the Oval Office and his talking-head associates tend to become quite defensive when anyone has asked them about helping the Russian government in any way. That was exactly what happened in the New Hamshire restaurant. And the president’s son immediately became defensive when Corn approached his table.

Why, Corn asked Trump Jr., had he agreed to meet with the Russian emissary? Don Jr. replied:

‘We’ve spoken about this a thousand times. I’ve testified about it, unlike Hunter Biden.’ [I am] always happy to hear [what’s on] people’s minds. I’m allowed to have a conversation with people, aren’t I?’

Corn responded:

‘Of course you could do it. I’m asking why you thought it was appropriate to do it. Because you were told it was part of a Russian government effort to help the campaign.’

The Trump campaign adviser and the eldest son’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle responded:

‘No, he wasn’t told that.’

Corn added in his post:

‘But yes, he was.’

Then, their handlers shooed Corn away.

Twitter world had a blast with Jr. Check out some of our favorites below:
