Pelosi Responds To Trump Interference In Stone Trial

Nancy Pelosi is just as fed up as the rest of America, and it shows. After Donald Trump had the nerve to obstruct justice on behalf of his friend Roger Stone just days after being acquitted for abusing his power in Ukraine, most of America is wondering how the hell we let the country get this bad. That includes Pelosi, who held a press conference about Mr. Trump Thursday afternoon.

Pelosi said:

“We also saw the president this week demonstrate once again that he has no respect for the rule of law … by engaging in political interference in the sentencing of his associate Roger Stone.”

“This is an abuse of power. The president is again trying to manipulate federal law enforcement to serve his political interests.”

Pelosi continued:

“He thinks he’s above the law. He has no respect for the rule of law,” Pelosi added of Trump. “But where are the Republicans to speak out on this blatant violation of the rule of law?”

One reporter asked if Pelosi thought that the president had become untouchable, to which Pelosi replied:

“They should be investigated. This is not what America is about, it is so wrong.”

Pelosi added that AG Barr had deeply hurt the rule of law that America used to hold dear. Pelosi said this about Barr:

“What a sad disappointment to our country.”

People responding to the tweet above were in amazement that the president continues to get away with abuse of power. Check out their responses below:
