Donald Trump pried himself away from his television sets around midnight. He had spent the evening watching the Democratic debate in Las Vegas, NV. Then, there was the follow-up analysis. Finally, he tweeted.
As usual, the unpresidential president went after $60-billion-Mike Bloomberg’s height. Certainly, there may have been moments when the former New York mayor wished to be taller, so Trump poked at the spot to see whether it hurt. Bloomberg did not take advantage as POTUS did of getting a physician to add two inches to his height.
Then, Trump poked at what he called Bloomberg’s “stumbling, bumbling and grossly incompetent” performance:
‘Mini Mike Bloomberg’s debate performance tonight was perhaps the worst in the history of debates, and there have been some really bad ones. He was stumbling, bumbling and grossly incompetent. If this doesn’t knock him out of the race, nothing will. Not so easy to do what I did!’
Bloomberg did have a poor performance, though. Certainly, he was not as bad as Trump tried to make out and definitely not the “worst in history” but definitely bad. Trump has had a few bad spots during his own campaigning. There was the time he talked about “falling in love” with North Korea’s dictatorial Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

The American president’s most fervent fans sat stunned behind him at the podium when our commander-in-chief talked about the supreme leader sending him “love letters.” Given that many of Trump’s followers consider him the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, that boast was hard for them to take, there mouths fell open. They should know that in Christianity, though, an anti-Christ will show up. Get out the Bibles.
