Donald Trump and the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been having this strange contest to see who could bring the most people to see POTUS. When the prime minister came to the United States, Trump drew a huge crowd to see himself. Then, when the president’s plane touched down, Modi had 100,000 people ready to line the streets and appear at Trump’s rally. Why do the Indians like the American president so much?

They may not actually. Who knows what the prime minister told his people to motivate them to show up. Regardless, Trump owns more high-end real estate in India than in any other country except the US. He likes India, because the technological explosion there just means more money in his pocket.

Trump must not have realized that when he put up clips of himself talking to the Indians, the translation did not appear with the text. Of course, people can hear him talking, if they want:

Accoridng to The Washington Post:

‘● Thousands of people lined the streets of Ahmedabad, the largest city in the state of Gujarat, to welcome Trump. Trump had said earlier that as many as 10 million people would be there to greet him. Preparations included building a wall to hide a slum along his route.

● Before the rally, Trump visited an ashram on the banks of the Sabarmati River where Mohandas “Mahatma” Gandhi, India’s revered independence leader, lived for 13 years.

● Trump and Modi lavished praise on each other during a joint rally at the world’s largest cricket stadium. Modi welcomed Trump to the world’s biggest democracy while Trump touted a $3 billion defense deal and spoke of the close ties between the two countries.’

‘America and India will strengthen their countries, enrich their people, make big dreamers bigger and make their future brighter than ever … and this is only the beginning.’]
