Trump Makes Tuesday Loyalty Remarks Like A Dictator

Donald Trump has a hit list. Those on it are not “loyal to our country.” Now, what does that mean? Do they have to spend a couple of years in the military or doing good works in the US? Probably not, given that Cadet Bone Spurs avoided the draft. Instead, the concept revolves around “loyalty,” but not just any kind of loyalty.

The president of these United States admitted that he only wants people in the administration who are loyal to him or the US, given he uses the terms interchangably. As far as he is concerned, Trump is synonymous with “America.”

However, being loyal to Trump may prove to be very difficult, because the president is moody. Not only that, the president’s loyalty only goes in one direction — to him. He has thrown any number of people under the bus to save himself from embarrassment or worse.

We .can imagine a male version of the character in Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, the Queen of Hearts shouting “Off with their head!s Off with ttheir heads!

Tuesday, Trump held a press conference. The Talking Points Memo wrote:

“Trump reacted to a question about reports that White House personnel chief John McEntee is targeting officials viewed as disloyal.”

He continued:

‘Trump defends purging “disloyal” people from his administration: “We want to have people that are good for the country, are loyal to the country.”‘

The details of the situation have not been worked out. Trump did not believe it would be “very many people,” he told reporters:

‘I don’t think it’s a big problem. I don’t think it’s very many people.’

Trump still wanted the anonymous intelligence community whistleblower. This individual filed the complaint that kickstarted the impeachment hearings. Whistleblowers are guaranteed anonymity, because they could suffer recriminations — like this.

Trump claimed that this individual was “fake” and the whistleblower’s complaint “bore no relationship” to the president’s infamous July 25th call with Ukraine’s leader. Although, the whistelblower’s complaint was a very accurate depiction of what POTUS said during the call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky:

‘I think we had a whistleblower who was a fake because if you look at the whistleblower as an example, if you look at his report, and then you compare that to the transcripts, it bore no relationship.’

Trump did not say specifically whether or not he would fire the whistleblower, who reportedly works for the CIA:

‘We want to have people that are good for the country, that are loyal to our country, because that was a disgraceful situation.’

The president wanted to fire those who were unfair, which he defines as disloyal, during his impeachment trial. The White House already fired the impeachment witness Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman from being on the National Security Council. He also let his Ambassador to the European Union (EU) Gordon Sondland go.

The president chose the American Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell to fill the slot as acting director of National Intelligence. This was concerning given that he had no experience in intelligence.
