Donald Trump totally dismantled the US rapid pandemic response team several years ago. He gutted it. Now that a deadly virus is looming on the setting sun of China, its tentacles have reached out to surrounding countries and beyond.
The coronavirus has spread to South Korea, Iran, and into Europe for a total of 80,000 sick people, according to CNN
Thus far, over 2,700 people have died worldwide, that is, if we can trust China’s statistics. South Korea has 1,260 cases, which includes an American soldier stationed there. Iran reported 139 cases and 19 deaths:”

The death rate has been one to two percent, but Iran’s deaths push that percentage upward. Scientists and medical personnel worry about the thousands of undetected cases. Europe’s largest outbreak is in Italy with 320 cases and 12 deaths.
A vaccine is still about 18 months away, and professionals say that it is not a matter of if but of when it reaches the US. The World Health Organization (WHO) and US experts say now is the time to prepare, before there is a coronavirus pandemic.
