The current president of the Untied States officially lost his ever-loving mind Friday, because he just told Americans that they needed to look to god for protection from a deadly pathogen sweeping the country. It has already been revealed that Trump delayed testing the first victims in the U.S. because it would look bad for his reelection campaign, and now, he’s just saying have faith that you’ll be okay.
No time in modern history has an American president told the citizens of this country that they needed to pray about a deadly virus because he had miffed up the preparedness project so badly that they were in grave danger, and we will likely never see it again.
Trump said this Friday:
….No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together, we will easily PREVAIL!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 13, 2020
“It is my great honor to declare Sunday, March 15th as a National Day of Prayer.”
“We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these.”
“No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together, we will easily PREVAIL!”
Democratic candidates Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden both condemned the president’s handling of the outbreak Friday, according to Yahoo News:
Both condemned Mr. Trump’s leadership while outlining their own plans to fight the public health crisis. Nikole Killion explains how the coronavirus is affecting the 2020 campaign.
People responding to Trump on Twitter were not even close to being amused as Trump seems to care less and less about the people of this country every day. Check out the top comments left on the tweet below:
