The coronavirus outbreak is affecting millions around the country, and while normal, everyday Americans are struggling to make ends meet while the whole country goes into shutdown mode, people like Ivanka Trump are making announcements no one cares to read.
The privileged rich girl informed the nation on Friday that she is going to self-quarantine after meeting with an Australian official who later tested positive for the pathogen. Literally no one would have even known Ivanka was missing for two weeks because we still aren’t sure of what she even does when she is featured in photographs with government and foreign officials.
Ivanka needed us all to know, however, that she, like the average American, had been exposed to the virus for whatever reason, but what she didn’t expect was the backlash that would follow.
Ivanka tweeted this Thursday:

White House medical staff has already informed Ivanka that she did not need to quarantine at this time, but just for safety’s sake, she did it anyway.
Australian minister for home affairs Peter Dutton tested positive for coronavirus after meeting with Ivanka and William Barr just days before.
White House deputy press secretary Judd Deere said this in a statement:
“The White House is aware that Mr. Dutton tested positive for COVID-19. He was asymptomatic during the interaction,” Deere said in a statement.
“Exposures from the case were assessed and the White House Medical Unit confirmed, in accordance with CDC guidance, that Ivanka is exhibiting no symptoms and does not need to self-quarantine. She worked from home today out of an abundance of caution until guidance was given.”
Kellyanne Conway tweeted the following:
UPDATE: White House Medical Unit (WHMU) informed me earlier that Mr. Dutton was asymptomatic during the interaction. Exposures from the case were assessed and the WHMU confirmed, in accordance with CDC guidance, that I exhibited no symptoms & need not self-quarantine. https://t.co/v06DHTfQHG

People responding to Ivanka’s tweet didn’t have very nice things to say to Trump’s favorite child, but perhaps she should stop playing politician and get back to whatever it was she did before daddy hit the lotto.
