Donald Trump calls this disease the “Chinese Virus.” He could have as easily called it the
“Trump Virus.” After all, he has been doing the near-impossible — making the Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic even worse.
Now, how would he do that? Take a look at his latest tweets to see what he did Wednesday morning. He promised “money will soon be coming” to all the people laid off in the hotels, bars, and restaurants.
His two-month delay in taking the virus seriously set the U.S. way behind the curve. Is it possible that Trump has no idea that he is taking out a serious slice out of his MAGA pie? When he called Corona Virus “a hoax,” he endangered his voters’ lives. POTUS said he would protect them, yet he has not. The president said he would preserve “Medicare & Social Security” as he argues for the payroll tax rebate. Of course, that tax funds two of the most important programs his voters need to live.
He started off his day with false political promises. Americans, regardless of party, faith, ethnic group, financial level are together in a war, one he is determined to lose:
‘For the people that are now out of work because of the important and necessary containment policies, for instance the shutting down of hotels, bars and restaurants, money will soon be coming to you. The onslaught of the Chinese Virus is not your fault! Will be stronger than ever!’
‘I will be having a news conference today to discuss very important news from the FDA concerning the Chinese Virus!’
‘I always treated the Chinese Virus very seriously, and have done a very good job from the beginning, including my very early decision to close the “borders” from China – against the wishes of almost all. Many lives were saved. The Fake News new narrative is disgraceful & false!’
‘I will totally protect your Medicare & Social Security!’
