President Donald Trump has consistently come up majorly short throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. Just this past weekend, he wheeled out his latest bonkers conspiracy theory, suggesting that medical personnel in hard-hit places like New York are hoarding supplies. In reality, well over 150,000 Americans have been infected with the Coronavirus, and the death toll is fast approaching 3,000 as of Monday afternoon. With a forecast in place of at least weeks more of the tumult, Hillary Clinton shared an inspiring Twitter message this Monday, delivering leadership where Trump did not.
‘The next several weeks may be some of the hardest we’ve faced as a country. From those on the front lines to those saving lives by staying at home, let’s remember to be kind to each other, be patient, and remember the power of our collective humanity, even when we’re apart.’

Her message comes on the heels of the Trump administration announcing that they were extending their social distancing guidelines for another month. Now, the federal government itself advises against social gathering and nonessential travel until at least April 30, at which time, authorities will presumably conduct a reassessment.
The majority of the actually binding social distancing orders have been delivered by local and state authorities rather than the federal government, but the federal guidelines could still be used as a reference point, particularly in Republican locales. For example, shortly after Trump extended the guidelines, Trump ally and Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis finally issued a long sought stay at home order — although it only covers the most hard-hit counties in the southern part of the state.
Check out Twitter’s response to Hillary below. While she shared messages like the one above, Trump kept on winding himself up with his rants against political opponents from Nancy Pelosi to the media, many of whom he brazenly lies about and claims want to see Americans suffer amidst the pandemic.
