GOP Governor Says No Quarantine Cuz Trump Said So

Florida governor Ron DeSantis is like any other Republican, he simply cannot take responsibility for his actions, instead pawning his mistakes off on others. With the deadly COVID-19 virus making its way across America and Americans doing anything they can just to stay alive, we can expect to see the GOP blame-game quite frequently for at least the next year.

That’s what happened with DeSantis, who now says that it is President Trump’s fault that he did not issue a shelter-in-place order for Floridians.

Just days ago, a Tampa Bay preacher was arrested for holding a huge church service as the pathogen made its way through the congregation.

DeSantis said this:

“The task force is not recommending this. If they do, that’s something that would carry a lot of weight with me.”

No word yet on whether any of those people were infected, but DeSantis has certainly received a heap of criticism for not being more stern with his constituents to begin with.

In reality, DeSantis was just following Trump’s lead to keep him on his good side, but after the backlash, DeSantis apparently rethought his position.

Anthony Fauci says that people who think this will be over in a breeze are sadly mistaken:

“I cannot see that all of a sudden, next week or two weeks from now it’s going to be over. I don’t think there’s a chance of that. I think we should do everything we possibly can do. I mean, in all sectors, because obviously as I’ve said so many times, when you think you’re maybe overreacting, you probably are not acting as forcefully as you should. So as we’ve always said, we’ve got to try very much to stay ahead of the curve.”

Fauci continues:
