In Warsaw Poland, Jewish people were herded into a ghetto where they dealt with hunger and disease, and later families were separated. Donald Trump has separated families and herded tens of thousands of people fleeing a violent regime into camps surrounded by barbed wire. Their crowded conditions are ripe for COVID-19. They have begged to be released and sent back, because coronavirus is a killer. So, what is on POTUS’ mind?
Of course, he is buried in thoughts about himself and being right. He speaks about “the light at the end of the tunnel,” but that light is a freight train that will take down his presidency. In the immigration camps, the refugees cannot stay away from crowds. They cannot even maintain a six-foot safe zone.
Trump tries to convince Americans that he was right, and the establishment media were wrong. It seems, he is unwilling to take that laser beam focus away from himself and widen the lens to encompass the lives for which he is responsible:
