Donald Trump has talked to Russia’s President Vladimir Putin several times during the coronavirus pandemic. All of a sudden, POTUS has an extreme interest in the oil industry. We know he does not listen to his advisers most of the time, so who has his ear now?
It seems that the U.S. president has started expressing interest in the details of international oil production. He appears to believe that the “world gets back to business from the COVID 19 disaster” through the oil sector:
‘Having been involved in the negotiations, to put it mildly, the number that OPEC+ is looking to cut is 20 Million Barrels a day, not the 10 Million that is generally being reported. If anything near this happens, and the World gets back to business from the Covid 19 (sic)…..’
Then, Trump continued. He said that two countries, Russia and Saudi Arabia, “worked with me” to get the oil industry “back on track.” As usual, POTUS has listened to two dictators over his own advisers. The commander-in-chief seemed to believe that once oil is fixed, the pandemic will stop. POTUS tweeted:
‘….disaster, the Energy Industry will be strong again, far faster than currently anticipated. Thank you to all of those who worked with me on getting this very big business back on track, in particular Russia and Saudi Arabia.’
Twitter world went crazy when Trump started talking about oil in the middle of a coronavirus pandemic. Check their responses out:
