Donald Trump hates anyone who makes him look stupid, and let’s face it, it’s hard for anyone to have a simple conversation with The Donald without making him look stupid. We’ve seen this happen multiple times in interviews and press conferences over the past few decades, but the gaffes have really ramped up since Trump became president.
Trump’s recent attack on the World Health Organization are case in point. The president of the United States fell under heavy scrutiny after a delayed and then lackluster response to the inevitable coronavirus outbreak that he was warned of well ahead of time.
Trump needed a scapegoat to blame for his presidential blunders, and without a blink, he turned to the W.H.O. as a distraction from the abysmal job he’s doing.

Now, Germany’s Angela Merkel, a longtime critic of the president, has spoken out in defense of the vital organization.
Thursday, during a call with G-7 leaders, Angela told world leaders that they all needed to support the World Health Organization at this time, just two days after Trump announced he was withholding funding after blaming then for a botched relief effort.
A German spokesperson said that Angela called for a “strong and coordinated international response” and expressed “full support to the WHO.”

The White House readouts for the call claimed:
“The leaders recognized that the G7 nations annually contribute more than a billion dollars to the World Health Organization (WHO), and much of the conversation centered on the lack of transparency and chronic mismanagement of the pandemic by the WHO. The leaders called for a thorough review and reform process.”

People responding to Trump’s tweet above were just sick and tired of all the hogwash, and they let the president know exactly how they felt in the comment section of the tweet. You can see the posts below:
