President Donald Trump can look forward to at least some more of the secrets from his past spilling into the open soon via a reported tell-all book that his former longtime “fixer” Michael Cohen has been working on while in prison and will release soon. Apparently, at least for now, the book is slated to be released before the general election this November, and Cohen has long established his separation from the president that would entail the former lawyer holding little to nothing back. Recently, he got slated for release to serve the rest of his prison sentence in home confinement considering the Coronavirus pandemic; perhaps that will speed along the book production process.

As actor Tom Arnold, who is a friend of Cohen, put it:

It’s like Jaws—you don’t see Jaws very much, but you hear the music, and for Trump he knows Michael is coming and Trump better hear the Jaws music. He told me he’s been writing a book and he’s pissed. He told me he is going to spill the beans. What has he got to lose now?’

Cohen’s prison sentence was over crimes including federal campaign finance law violations in which the president was directly implicated. Cohen participated in a scheme to pay off women with whom Trump had affairs in attempts to keep them quiet during the 2016 election season. Although even Trump himself participated in the hush money scheme, Cohen is the only person who ever got charged over it.

Cohen has already testified against Trump before Congress, to whom he revealed a slew of fraud allegations against Trump, which have helped drive some Congressional investigative efforts that eventually got pushed to the backburner first by the impeachment proceedings and now by the Coronavirus ordeal.

But now, the Daily Beast reports:

Rumors of Cohen, 53, penning a lurid expose on Team Trump have been swirling for years. The Daily Beast first reported in February 2018 that Cohen was shopping a book, tentatively titled Trump Revolution: From The Tower to The White House, Understanding Donald J. Trump, and he later reached an agreement with Center Street, the conservative imprint of publishing house Hachette, to publish it.’

This book will not be the first tell-all that has rocked the White House. A book not even published yet from Trump’s former national security adviser John Bolton already rocked the Trump team when parts leaked confirming parts of the impeachment-driving allegations that Trump attempted to bribe Ukraine into investigating the Bidens. Other books that have sent shock waves through the president’s team include volumes by journalist Bob Woodward, former staffer Omarosa Manigault-Newman, and others.

Trump has already distanced himself from Cohen. In one word salad, Trump tweeted:

Remember, Michael Cohen only became a “Rat” after the FBI did something which was absolutely unthinkable & unheard of until the Witch Hunt was illegally started. They BROKE INTO AN ATTORNEY’S OFFICE! Why didn’t they break into the DNC to get the Server, or Crooked’s office?’

He’s referring to the duly proceeding carrying out of a search warrant for Cohen’s office. There was no “breaking in.” For Trump, everything tends to just circle back to himself.
