Without fail, President Donald Trump continues to prioritize his public image above many to most all other concerns amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. To that end, early this Saturday, the day after the U.S. reported its most new Coronavirus cases in a single day so far, Trump rushed to Twitter to complain about “fake news,” Democrats, and the Wall Street Journal. His contention throughout all of the complaints was that he’s actually done a great job responding to the Coronavirus. The problem is: we can all see what he’s doing, and he’s failing.
Here's Trump infamous hoax clip from Feb 28- this was before even one American died. Trump also slammed the media that night for being in "hysteria mode." The Dems and media were warning that the virus was more serious than Trump was taking it. Over 52,000 now dead. What HOAX?! https://t.co/cGqCou8uSk pic.twitter.com/jkDjDOCxUK

Early in the morning, he spoke as if he was trying to speak a beefed up Coronavirus testing capacity for the U.S. into existence. But, that’s not how it works — he can’t simply wish away the reality that even if the overall total of tests that the U.S. has done is high, it’s not higher than every other country put together and the test per capita rate is still sharply lower than many other major countries. He eventually added the qualifier that the U.S. has supposedly done more tests than every other “major” country put together, but it’s unclear what that arbitrary description “major” is supposed to actually mean.
Many testing sites are, and have been, open & available. Just passed 5 Million Tests, far more than any other country in the world. In fact, more than all other major countries combined! Don’t believe the Fake News! https://t.co/uTSMAvj7R3

We have now Tested more than 5 Million People. That is more than any other country in the World, and even more than all major countries combined!

These issues come after the Trump administration wasted weeks on end with no large-scale testing regimen in place at all in the early days of the pandemic. Neither did the administration enact any kind of large-scale effort to secure medical equipment until weeks on end had passed. Trump also glibly glossed over these issues, congratulating himself for a supposed job well done even as Americans die from the Coronavirus at a rate of thousands per day.
Just spoke to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali of Ethiopia. His Country needs Ventilators, and the U.S. is in good position to help him. We will!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 25, 2020
It is a wonderful feeling to know that our States are loaded up with Ventilators, many brand new and high quality just off of our production lines, and that we are now in a position to help other countries that so desperately need them. Every person needing a Ventilator got one!

Trump topped off his whining by insisting that when he called the Coronavirus a hoax, he didn’t really call the Coronavirus a hoax, but instead, he just meant that concern about the virus was a hoax. That is also, however, incorrect, and there’s been no miracle disappearance of the virus from the U.S. because Trump wished it in front of a mirror enough times.
The Do Nothing Democrats are spending much of their money on Fake Ads. I never said that the CoronaVirus is a “Hoax”, I said that the Democrats, and the way they lied about it, are a Hoax. Also, it did start with “one person from China”, and then grew, & will be a “Miracle” end!

If the Wall Street Journal “Editorial” writers had called, as they should have, they would have easily found that I was “NOT happy with the Georgia Governor on Tuesday night.” You said the opposite, and got it wrong as you often do!

Check out Twitter’s response to the president’s latest self-confident ranting below:
What he called a "hoax" was Democrats saying the virus was going to be bad and we needed to prepare more than he was. Funny story: it turns they weren't lying and it wasn't a hoax. https://t.co/A4iHlJLoF7

You DID say that the virus is a hoax. It's on video. It will be replayed in thousands of campaign ads. Your gaslighting is becoming so frequent and so noxious, even your base is beginning to crack. Today's a good day to speak with Pence, strategize the manner by which you resign. https://t.co/0vnGeGjM8z

it is true. What he said, at his crowded rallies well after he had been warned about the virus, was that Democrats who were concerned that America should be preparing for a devastating pandemic, were engaging in a hoax. https://t.co/WMA82uRe9o

This man is so thoroughly consumed by his own ego and delusions of victimhood that the occasion of 50,000 American dead has come and gone without a single word of acknowledge — much less comfort.
We should elect a better president. https://t.co/m4xtoO3VoE

Yes, you said it is hoax. You said it is like the flu. You said the numbers will go down to zero. You said it will miraculously disappear in April. But the worst was you acted too late, & had colossal blunders. Had you acted 2 weeks earlier, 6000 would have died not 60,000. https://t.co/T1U6NeRhki

Let's see if I can put this in a way you will understand *clears throat* When you are president, your words are powerful. Incredibly powerful. Maybe more powerful than ever. And so you have to be careful *does accordion thing with hands* very strongly careful about what you say https://t.co/klA5ob3ocn

Do-nothing Trump let 50K people die in three months from COVID.
Your regime botched test kits in February; we still don't have enough test kits to safely reopen our economy. You're a nightmare. A clown. Stop telling people to inject disinfectants, you monstrous buffoon. https://t.co/w3ErDM20YU
