Donald Trump has certainly flubbed up the coronavirus relief effort, and hardly anyone with a brain will contest that. He waited, after receiving multiple warnings of an imminent outbreak and then downplayed the dangerousness of the outbreak once if finally made landfall. Coronavirus hit America like a sudden force, blindsiding people who thought the pathogen wouldn’t make it to America.
Trump continued making statements to diminish the deadly impact of the plague, and his constant incompetence has even led to a shortage of PPE or personal protective equipment.
Now, nurses from around the country have gathered outside the White House to give Donald Trump a message.
Do Your Job.
Union RNs placed shoes outside the White House, each pair representing a nurse lost due to insufficient PPE during #COVID19.
Put yourself in their shoes.
Honor the fallen.
And fight like hell for the living.

Jean Ross, president of National Nurses United said this to CNN:
“You talk about how essential, how needed, how grateful you are, and yet you throw us to the wolves. You throw us out onto a battlefield without armor and the more we complain we don’t see anything being done.”
The nurses gathered Thursday and put white shoes down on the ground; each pair of shoes representing a nurse lost from coronavirus due to not having the adequate safety materials.
According to CNN:
The demonstrators gathered in Lafayette Square in front of the White House and placed 88 pairs of empty shoes on the ground. Those shoes represented the life of each nurse they say has been lost due inadequate personal protective equipment while fighting the coronavirus. The demonstrators then read the names of the 88 fallen nurses.
