On Saturday, Obama gave a virtual commencement speech to the thousands of graduates from historic black colleges and universities across the country. The speech was the first of its kind, and hopefully that last for a very long time. With coronavirus still dominating the country, virtual contact is the new norm, but everyone was happy to see Obama’s smiling face.
Obama was on a roll Saturday when he started throwing jabs at Donald Trump, who immediately got on Twitter to rant about Obama. Obama said this to the graduates:
“More than anything, this pandemic has fully, finally torn back the curtain on the idea that so many of the folks in charge know what they’re doing. A lot of them aren’t even pretending to be in charge.”
“If the world’s going to get better, it’s going to be up to you.”

Remember, Obama said this about the current administration last week:
“It would have been bad even with the best of governments. It has been an absolute chaotic disaster when that mind-set — of ‘what’s in it for me’ and ‘to heck with everybody else’ — when that mind-set is operationalized in our government.”
Trump hopped onto Twitter when he heard what Obama said, and this is all he could come up with.
