The political climate seems to be heating up for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden as he has steadily been garnering the support of many colleagues and Americans in general.
A recently released Fox News Poll shows Biden leading Mr. Trump by 8 points nationally. Biden is especially leading with some groups who broke for Trump in 2016 such as independents and older voters.

Among independents, Biden leads by 13 points and among older voters aged 65 and up, he leads by a larger margin of 17 points. In 2016, the older voters went for Trump by 7 points while independents went for the president by 4 points.
According to MSN News:
‘Some Democrats have worried about polling that shows Biden facing an enthusiasm gap, but the Fox news survey found that Biden leads 53 percent to 41 among voters who say they’re extremely motivated to vote in November.’
Biden’s supporters are highly motivated – 69 percent compared to 61 percent of Trump’s supporters. There is also a large gender gap with Biden leading by 20 points among women and 7 points among men.
‘The president has a 30-point lead among rural white voters, while Biden has a 64-point lead among black voters.
‘Trump’s favorability rating is underwater by 12 points, at 43 percent positive and 55 percent negative. Biden’s favorability rating is positive by 2 points, at 48 percent favorable and 46 percent unfavorable.’
Voters trust Trump more on the economy, leading Biden by a narrow margin of 45 percent to 42 percent.
On the more timely issue of who voters trust more to handle the pandemic, Biden leads Trump by 9 points. Biden also leads Trump on the issue of health care by a large 17 points.
The Fox News Survey was conducted between May 17 and 20 among 1207 registered voters.
Just one week ago, Biden also lead Trump in another national poll.
