Giuliani Suffers Embarrassing ‘Obama!’ Public Meltdown During Live TV Interview

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is continuing to passionately spread pro-Trump conspiracy theories to whoever he can get to listen. During a new interview that aired on the program America This Week with host Eric Bolling, Giuliani suggested that former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden — who is now the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee — may have committed some kind of crime connected to the federal investigation into Donald Trump’s team. There is, just to be clear, no evidence of this, but that didn’t stop Giuliani from running with the idea anyway.

Giuliani wound himself up over the investigation into former Trump associate Michael Flynn specifically, who admitted to lying to federal investigators about his communications with the then-Russian ambassador to the U.S. Sinclair Broadcasting Group notes that during his tv appearance, Giuliani “continued to speculate that some member of the administration likely leaked Flynn’s name, insinuating without evidence that it might have been former President Barack Obama or Vice President Joe Biden.” A dangerous implication of Giuliani’s belligerence is that if he has the president’s attention thanks to his work as Trump’s personal lawyer, then these nonsense conspiracy theories could affect federal government policy.

Referring to the investigation into Flynn, Giuliani insisted:

‘This was not to investigate a crime, it was to take out Flynn. That is clear beyond any doubt. And it should be investigated like a crime… The purpose of the unmasking was to leak and leaking is a violation of federal law.’

Unmasking refers to the process of revealing the identity of an individual whose identity had previously been concealed in intelligence reports. Amidst the investigations into his activities, Flynn’s name was unmasked — but unmaskings are routine, and besides, how could Flynn have been targeted specifically if officials didn’t even know the identity until after the unmasking? Still, wildly, Giuliani suggested bringing both Obama and Biden before a grand jury for testimony. It’s not normal to suggest punitive political prosecution of political opponents!

Giuliani ranted:

‘It is absolutely certain that one of them leaked it and the question is which one and how tough are we going to be to try to get it.’

Giuliani’s wild commentary actually mirrors commentary from the president himself. During a recent Fox interview, Trump commented:

‘If I were a Democrat instead of a Republican, I think everybody would’ve been in jail a long time ago, and I’m talking with 50-year sentences… This is the greatest political scam in the history of our country… people should be going to jail for this stuff… this was all Obama. This was all Biden. These people were corrupt.’

There remains no apparent actual evidence that anyone in the Obama administration committed any kind of crime against the Trump team. Claims otherwise are wishful thinking from the president and his allies, who seem desperate to protect their political careers against the looming potential of major losses this November. After all, on both the national level and in swing states around the country, Biden consistently leads Trump in polling.
