Department Of Defense Publicly Turns Against Donald Trump

“You can’t handle the truth.” No movie line was ever truer about Donald Trump than that one from A Few Good Men. POTUS literally sent an individual around the government after he took office to see who did not support him or were not sufficiently enthusiastic about their great leader. Then, those people were fired. Now, another top employee may have just made this fatal error.

Although the president has always been a walking, talking insult machine, those who do not fawn all over him go onto his “enemies'” list.  Secretary of Defense Mark Esper took orders from his commander-in-chief Monday night as they walked across the president’s park. Someone ordered the Black Hawk helicopter to fly under 400 feet above the people in Washington DC who were protesting police violence. Flying so low over a crowd is against procedures, because it is too dangerous.

Then, a former undersecretary in the Pentagon and current member of the Pentagon’s Advisory Board James Miller quit in protest and made his resignation letter public. The scathing letter held Esper’s ethical, moral, and sworn-oath-duty feet to the fire.

Esper held a formal press conference filled with a lot of I-know-nothings! in it. In the process, he may well have offended his dear leader:

‘Trump’s own Defense Secretary comes out against him:

“The option to use active-duty forces in a law enforcement role should only be used … in the most urgent and dire of situations. We are not in one of those situations now. I do not support invoking the Insurrection Act.” pic.twitter.com/1K2NaP8OJB

ABC reported on Esper’s press conference, too:

‘JUST IN: Defense Sec. Mark Esper provides his account of events Monday evening, in which peaceful protesters were forcibly dispersed ahead of Pres. Trump’s photo op at St. John’s Church.

Trump’s attempts to grind down the protests with the baton of his military police only ignited larger peaceful protests, reaching into people’s lives who had never protested before:
