Biden Trolls Trump Over Colin Powell Endorsement

Donald Trump may not be all that smart, but he is cunning in the way a huckster trying to sell snake oil to innocents is cunning. Those are the people he calls “losers,” but Americans are not losers. What he sells is a poisonous elixir to the future of the country, and he already has a strong base addicted to it.

Former Vice President and current Trump opponent Joe Biden has given Trump’s words the benefit of the doubt. It was completely possible that POTUS used his words to purposely “incite violence, stoke the flames of hatred and division” — his poison.

Biden has been the ideal antidote to Trump’s poisonous mixture of anger, racism, and callousness. The former VP wrote that “we cannot give him [Trump] another four years:”

‘The words of a president matter. And time and time again, Donald Trump has callously used his to incite violence, stoke the flames of hatred and division, and drive us further apart. We cannot give him another four years in the White House.’

Biden continued, noting that our choice did not involve politics. Instead, it had a higher calling of being about the literal future of our country. Did Americans want the shining democracy, the great experiment of our forefathers put into motion, or did they want a dictatorship?

Sunday morning the remarkable four-star general who served the Republican president George W. Bush in many powerful roles put the full weight and gravity of his vote behind Joe Biden, who did not brag. He did not boast or put another person down. Biden was modest, gracious, and thoughtful:

‘This isn’t about politics. This is about the future of our country. Grateful for your support, Secretary Powell.’
