These days the president seems to be spending much of time golfing or spinning half-baked truths on Twitter. After his Independence Day rally at Mount Rushmore on Saturday, Trump spent most of Sunday ranting on Twitter as evidenced by his many tweets.
He spent Sunday afternoon endorsing right wing news networks, making up crime statistics, and telling people “we are leading in the REAL polls.” Trump is desperately grasping at straws to win an election that is quickly plummeting from his hands.
He tweeted lies he knows that his staunch supporters will continue to believe:
The president went on to slam Fox News, who has been one of his stronger allies, MSNBC, and CNN, as he urged people to obtain their news from the right wing conservative networks OANN and Newsmax.
Trump also went on about Chicago and New York City crime numbers.
Then, he thanked author Nick Adams for inflating his ego with a new book comparing him to Winston Churchill.
To no surprise too, Mr. Trump accused Democrats of leading cities with “poor crime numbers.”
Here was the response from the Twitter world:
The truth is that Biden continues to gain in the polls. According to the International Business Times:
‘The latest Monmouth University survey has Biden at 53% support with Trump at 41%. A CNBC/Research survey shows Biden at 49%, with Trump’s support at 41%, while the Economist/YouGov poll put Biden at 49% compared to Trump’s 40%.’
