During this 2020 election season and the last in 2016, Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity have had a lot to say about sexual harassment and sexual assault, and those comments have varied widely according to who the accused is. Now, they are the accused.

A lawsuit filed by Fox Business Network producer, Jennifer Elkhart, and Fox News channel guest. Cathy Areu on Monday includes allegations of sex trafficking, sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and retaliation and names Tucker Carlson, Ed Henry, Sean Hannity, and others at Fox News as perpetrators.
The lawsuit says that:
‘It is widely documented in the public record that Fox News has not only cultivated and fostered sexual harassment, but has consistently accepted and rewarded it…nevertheless, Fox News would have the public believe that it is a different place from that was run by former disgraced Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes…unfortunately, it’s actually worse.’
A complaint filed in New York federal court alleges sexual misconduct by top Fox News hosts including Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Howard Kurtz. The suit also addresses a previous rape allegation against Ed Henry, who was fired by Fox News on July 1 https://t.co/L7loNBudqI

The network has had a long history of allegations against its top hosts and at the highest levels of power. Once the ratings king of the late night cable market, Bill O’Reilly is now unemployed and spouting bitter insults on Twitter. Former Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes was stripped of the network he was responsible for building and sued by multiple employees of Fox News, including former hosts Gretchen Carlson and Megan Kelly. Ed Henry had also been the subject of previous sexual assault claims.
The lawsuit also says that:
‘As described in detail herein, Fox News continues to protect and reward perpetrators of sexual harassment and refuses to take accountability for putting such persons in positions of power from which they can subject women to sexual misconduct, sexual assault and, in the case of Ms. Eckhart, rape. Some of the names in leadership may have changed since Roger Ailes’ regime, but Fox News’ institutional apathy towards sexual misconduct has not.’

A Fox News spokesman dismissed the allegations to reporters, saying that Fox News takes allegations of sexual misconduct seriously and has completed an investigation that debunked many of the women’s claims. According to Deadline, an attorney for the plaintiffs answered that statement by saying:
‘The investigator did not even speak with either of our clients, even though both Ms. Eckhart and Ms. Areu offered to meet with him under reasonable conditions. We call on Fox News to work with our clients to retain a truly independent investigator who is transparent. The results of any such investigation should be made public for the world to see.’
Sean Hannity & Tucker Carlson, two of Fox News’ most prominent hosts, are accused of sexual harassment in a new lawsuit. Fox News says the allegations are false.
Former anchor Ed Henry is accused of rape, but his attorney says a relationship was consensual.
