Donald Trump has been so derelict in his mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic that 5,507,240 Americans have had confirmed cases with no clear idea what the long-term conditions will be. There are also 171,400 of our mothers, fathers, sister, brothers, friends, and children lying dead as a direct result of POTUS’ inexcusable ineptitude.

Strangely, the man who occasionally sits in the Oval Office has not appeared to regret the deaths of people’s loved ones. Nor does he take any responsibility for his part in this horrific tragedy. For this bizarre man sitting in. the White House, people appear to only be numbers in the “win” or “lose” columns.

Perhaps in an attempt to deflect attention to his piss-poor performance as president of these United-States, Trump came up with another whopper during his Mankato, MI invitation-only event. He claimed that New Zealand was having a “big surge” of the virus, according to NPR.

Trump came up with this lie during his Mankato, MI invitation-only event.

‘The places that they were using to hold up, they’re having a big surge. And I don’t want that, I don’t want that. But they were holding up names of countries, and now they’re saying, “Whoops!”‘

He added:

‘Like even New Zealand, do you see what’s going on in New Zealand? They beat it, they beat it, it was like front page, “They beat it,” because they wanted to show me something. The problem is — big surge in New Zealand. So you know, it’s terrible.’

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern immediately called the US president on his claim of a “big surge.” In fact, she noted that Trump’s description was “patently wrong” during a press conference on Tuesday. She added that our two countries could not be more dissimilar when it came to managing COVID-19:

‘I don’t think there’s any comparison between New Zealand’s current cluster and the tens of thousands of cases that are being seen daily in the United States,. Obviously, every country is experiencing its own fight with COVID-19. It is a tricky virus, but not one where I would compare New Zealand’s current status to the United States. We are still one of the best-performing countries in the world when it comes to COVID,” Our workers are focused on keeping it that way.’

Ardern had indeed delayed her islands nation’s election for a month, because there had been some outbreaks of coronavirus in Auckland. However, it was far from a surge. Her country had nine new cases. The US had nearly 42,000 new cases, according to NPR.

Since the beginning of the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, New Zealand has had 1,643 COVID-19 cases with 22 fatalities. That is nearly 8,000 times fewer deaths due to the virus than America has had, according to the Google statistical data.
