Donald Trump will do anything — anything — to win in November. We have already seen that he does not break a sweat over 174,200 Americans dying from the coronavirus as a result of his negligence. He did try to kill off the 200-year-old US Postal Service. Yet, as former First Lady Michelle Obama told America at the Democratic National Convention, things can get worse, a lot worse. QAnon is a collective of people who believe in crazy conspiracy theories. Shockingly, their numbers rank in the millions, and that was good enough for POTUS. During one of his press briefings, he was asked about them. According to YouTube, he replied that he knew they “love our country,” and “they like me:”
‘I don’t know much about the movement other than I understand they like me very much, which I appreciate. But I don’t know much about the movement. These are people that don’t like seeing what’s going on in places like Portland and places like Chicago and other cities and states. I’ve heard these are people that love our country and they just don’t like seeing it. I don’t know really anything about it other than they do supposedly like me. And they also would like to see problems in these areas … go away.’
One of the reporters was attempting to point out the QAnons’ belief in a conspiracy theory between “the deep state” and POTUS and his core voters. Trump responded:
‘Well, I haven’t heard that, but is that supposed to be a bad thing or a good thing?’
Apparently, Trump has retweeted QAnon-affiliated posts multiple times. He also congratulated one of the group’s most verbal members, Marjorie Taylor Greene, for winning the Republican nomination for an open Georgia seat. She said, according to The Washington Post:
‘Q is a patriot. He is someone that very much loves his country and is on the same page as us, and he is very pro-Trump. He appears to have connections at the highest levels.’
