Donald Trump is having a very bad week. With speakers like Barack and Michelle Obama, Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), President Jimmy Carter, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and a host of others putting Trump to shame, it’s hard to imagine the Republican National Convention being able to match up. In fact, it’s impossible.
Not only is there no constitutional right to attend the Democratic National Convention but Americans do have a constitutional right to vote, the convention this year is virtual. No one is checking IDs to see if an attendee is on a guest list. Everyone is watching from home.
Democratic lawmakers are not sending out 51 million ballots. They did ask in the stimulus package to include 51 million in funding to the post office, but no state that doesn’t already allow for mail-in voting, or even universal voting, is trying to implement it now. Keep in mind, this is the same president who said that some red states, like Florida, are okay for mail-in voting because they have a “very good system,” he reminds supports to vote in campaign emails. He’s not trying to stop fraud, he’s trying to stop Democrats from voting.
Despite Trump’s many claims about mail-in voting, there is no evidence that it leads to fraud. Attempts to hobble the post offices and cast doubt on the potential outcome of the election is Trump’s way of guaranteeing that, should he lose, he has someone to blame beside himself.
Twitter was able to see through Trump’s transparent attempts to spin lies. Read some of their comments below:
