President Donald Trump doesn’t seem to be a big fan of news anchor Chris Wallace, who hosts Fox News Sunday. In fact, Trump doesn’t seem to be a big fan of any kind of scrutiny at all. After apparently watching the Sunday morning edition of Wallace’s show this weekend, Trump melted down on Twitter. He spiraled so far off into his nonsense that he referred to one particular political opponent, Delaware’s Democratic Senator Chris Coons, as “Chrisie.” What is that apparent derisive nickname supposed to even mean? This self-obsessed, sputtering nonsense is what the president peddles on a daily basis while Americans struggle through the crises that he has helped exacerbate.
He tweeted:
‘“Next we’ll turn to people of the Biden inner circle”, said by Chris Wallace of @FoxNews after unsuccessfully GRILLING Mark Meadows. Then all softball questions to a group of Biden lightweights, including Senator Chris Coons of Delaware… Chris Wallace “forgot” to ask a very weak and pathetic Schumer puppet, Senator Chrisie Coons, why Biden fought me when I put an extremely early BAN on people coming into our Country from heavily infected China. Biden later admitted I was right! But why no question?’

Trump has talked so much about the travel restrictions that he put on transit from China towards the start of the Coronavirus pandemic; it’s wild. The restrictions obviously were far from enough to appropriately deal with the spreading virus, since the U.S. continues to languish under huge numbers of new Coronavirus cases and deaths. Although some Democrats did point out that Trump’s rush to impose the restrictions didn’t exactly seem well-guided, Biden didn’t — he “took no position on the China restrictions when they were implemented,” FactCheck.org explains, adding that his campaign eventually stated that he supported the restrictions, since they were science-based. Trump is just making up a conflict and then making up that he won it, essentially.
The travel restrictions themselves didn’t even constitute a “ban,” since tens of thousands of individuals still traveled from China to the U.S. after their implementation, it’s worth noting. According to MSNBC analyst Rick Tyler, the U.S. was the 39th country to impose Coronavirus-related travel restrictions, and the Trump administration’s own action came after airline companies had already begun winding down flights.
400k+ flew from China before the US became the 39th country to impose travel restrictions. 40k+ came after. Since CV was already here and the fact that the US now leads in cases and is 3rd in deaths makes Trump’s claim of early decisive action meaningless. https://t.co/nQj5Bq3thg

Meanwhile, on Sunday afternoon, Trump also seemed to basically try to wish a lead in the polls into existence. He tweeted:
‘Actually, I think I’m leading in the Polls!’
But… he’s not. He can’t just yell about “Fake news!” and make actual reality become magically fake.
Actually, I think I’m leading in the Polls! @FoxNews @OANN
