Trump Suffers Delusional Mid-Morning Mental Episode

President Donald Trump is, by all appearances, a bumbling egomaniac who has no idea what he’s doing as the nation’s commander-in-chief. He consistently seems to prioritize one thing and one thing alone: his public image. His “point” — his guiding principle — is to win, not to protect the American people, it seems. On Monday morning, he made the utterly absurd assertion that his administration is “starting to get VERY high marks” for their handling of the Coronavirus pandemic. He didn’t even bother noting who these supposedly good reviews came from, but the statement is outrageous nonetheless — Trump is focused on his dubious good reviews while Americans keep dying on his watch.

He tweeted:

‘Starting to get VERY high marks in our handling of the Coronavirus (China Virus), especially when compared to other countries and areas of the world. Now the Vaccines (Plus) are coming, and fast!’

Again, this statement is utterly ridiculous on its face. The U.S. has a higher rate of confirmed cases per one million residents than countries like Spain, Italy, and the United Kingdom, all of which seem to have comparable health care systems and have suffered big outbreaks at some point during the pandemic. Over 190,000 Americans have died due to the Coronavirus, and tens of thousands of more deaths may be on the way while Trump spends his time with these delusional self-congratulations for a supposed job well done. Although some have returned, millions of jobs have been lost at some point during the pandemic, and millions of people have been estimated to be at risk of eviction. None of this is a success!

On Monday, Trump touted the number of jobs that have been recently “created” without acknowledging the previous huge slump that the growth is making up for. He also claimed that Biden “wants to massively raise your taxes,” but Biden has made clear that he would not raise taxes for people making under $400,000 a year. Trump also insisted, however, that Biden would crash the economy if elected president, which there’s no evidence for.

On Monday morning, Trump also tweeted some drivel about Democratic presidential pick Joe Biden and Democrats at large. He claimed that Biden is “underperforming,” although Biden currently leads Trump by an average of 7.5 percent in national-level polls. Trump also blamed Democrats for recent bouts of violent rioting, ignoring the fact that Democrats happen to lead many cities with high populations, and Democrats, by and large — including Biden — have flatly condemned violence. They’re not some kind of pro-rioting radicals. Any statement otherwise is a lie.
