Who is this little old former basketball star turned an international infectious disease expert? Comedian Jimmy Kimmel wrote about Fauci for TIME, CBS reported:

‘Dr. Fauci doesn’t sugarcoat his words and refuses to be pressured by politicians. He delivers the truth, as difficult as it may be to hear, earnestly and with one goal: to save lives. His courage and candor have earned our trust. We are all fortunate to have a man of his wisdom, experience and integrity to help us navigate these difficult waters.’

Fauci was in the “Leaders” group, one of TIME’s five categories. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was also listed as one of the most influential people, along with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen. But Attorney General William Barr was there, too.

Presidential candidate Joe Biden, his running mate Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA), and last and perhaps least, Trump.

Actor Samuel l. Jackson and Latanya Richardson Jackson wrote about the billionaire investor Robert F. Smith. He donated millions of his wealth to parents of Morehouse College students to erase their education debt:

NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, astronauts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir, and WNBA star and criminal justice activist Maya Moore were also in the “Pioneers” category.Then, there were the “Titans:”

‘Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade, who are married and share a cover. Alphabet’s Sundar Pichai, Tyler Perry, and Lewis Hamilton are also honored in this category. ‘
