Pelosi Takes Trump To School Over NY Times Tax Scandal

Yesterday, we learned that Donald Trump’s gold-encrusted grifting is about to hit a six-foot thick brick wall. He has hundreds of millions of dollars owed in debt coming due within the next four years. Plus, there is dark money coming from mysterious overseas sources. Now, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is calling POTUS to task in a way that should make him quake with fear.

Remember, Pelosi is the youngest of seven children with six older brothers. Plus, she raised five children of her own. The Speaker knows a thing or two about how to handle someone as irresponsible as a child, and she is fearless against a deadly dangerous opponent.

Monday morning Speaker Pelosi released a statement in response to The New York Times Report that broke open the president’s gaming house of cards. Then, she scattered them in the wake of her hot, crushing sirocco wind.

She said Trump gamed the “tax code” while hard-working American did not:

The New York Times reporting provides a window into the extraordinary measures that President Trump has used to game the tax code and avoid paying his fair share of taxes, while hard working (sic)  Americans are.’

Pelosi continued pointing toward a Ways and Means lawsuit to access Trump’s tax records:

‘This report provides further evidence of the clear need for the Ways and Means lawsuit spearheaded by Chairman Neal to access Trump’s tax returns and ensure the presidential audit program is functioning effectively, without improper influence.’

The Speaker also pointed toward a bill forcing presidents to “disclose their personal and business tax returns.” The House named it the “For The People Act:”

‘With the leadership of Representatives Anna Eshoo, Bill Pascrell, Lloyd Doggett and John Sarbanes, the House passed a requirement that presidents disclose their personal and business tax returns as part of our H.R. 1, the For The People Act.’

Then, she pointed toward “Trump’s disdain for American working families:”

‘It is a sign of President Trump’s disdain for America’s working families that he has spent years abusing the tax code while passing a GOP Tax Scam for the rich that gives 83 percent of the benefits to the wealthiest 1 percent.’

The New York Times showed Trump paid just $750 in taxes his first year in the White House:

‘Donald J. Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes the year he won the presidency. In his first year in the White House, he paid another $750. He had paid no income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years — largely because he reported losing much more money than he made.’

The Times also laid out Trump’s lifetime set of schemes based upon grifting:

‘The tax data examined by The Times provides a road map of revelations, from write-offs for the cost of a criminal defense lawyer and a mansion used as a family retreat to a full accounting of the millions of dollars the president received from the 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow.’
