Trump Campaign Demands Pre-Debate Biden Ear Inspection

According to Fox News, the Trump campaign requested to have Joe Biden’s ears inspected before the debate between the two presidential candidates on Tuesday night. The idea is that Biden may have some sort of electronic listening/ communication device in place that would be meant to help facilitate assistance for Biden during the debate. There is absolutely zero evidence — none — that the Biden team has at any point had any plans to use such a device. The suggestion otherwise from the Trump team is just smoke and mirrors — although Trump has said that he would agree to an inspection of his own ears for potential electronic devices by the same third party. The Biden campaign has rejected the ear inspection request.

The reported request from the Trump team for someone to inspect Joe Biden’s ears is not the first ridiculous insinuation-based demand that they’ve rolled out prior to the Tuesday night debate. Trump himself has also repeatedly insisted that he wants Biden to take a drug test, which the president has said that he would also agree to for himself. Trump and his political allies have suggested that Biden may be on some kind of performance-enhancing drugs. There is absolutely zero evidence for this claim — none whatsoever.

Nevertheless, Trump recently tweeted:

‘I will be strongly demanding a Drug Test of Sleepy Joe Biden prior to, or after, the Debate on Tuesday night. Naturally, I will agree to take one also. His Debate performances have been record setting UNEVEN, to put it mildly. Only drugs could have caused this discrepancy???’

That rant is all nonsense.

The Biden campaign issued a memorable statement in response to the president’s rants. Deputy Biden campaign manager Kate Bedingfield said:

‘Vice President Biden intends to deliver his debate answers in words. If the president thinks his best case is made in urine he can have at it. We’d expect nothing less from Donald Trump, who pissed away the chance to protect the lives of 200K Americans when he didn’t make a plan to stop COVID-19.’

The Tuesday night debate between Biden and Trump will be the first of three between the candidates. Fox News host Chris Wallace will be moderating.
