“Believe nothing from this White House,” according to former journalist, author, and Kent State journalist professor Connie Schultz on MSNBC Sunday morning’s Velshi. She also happens to be Sherrod Brown’s (D-OH) wife. The diverse state of Ohio voted for Donald Trump in 2016, and it has not had a Democratic presidential win since the 1960s. But things are changing.
Ohio has everything sort of voter, everything from those in manufacturing to farming to shipping, so they have been a reasonable state to follow. Apparently, the nation will not be able to follow the White House’s communications about the president as he lies in bed at the Walter-Reed hospital. This is one of the finest hospitals in the nation with an entire floor dedicated to the president’s care.
Sunday morning all that Trump could do was send out one tweet. We do not even know if he sent it. The proper thing for the White House to do is keep the nation informed, otherwise people begin to think the worst of all possible options: pneumonia, unstable vital signs, on oxygen?
The president released a videotape Saturday, but not Sunday. Then he sent this lone tweet:
‘Thank you so much!’
‘𝙏𝙃𝘼𝙉𝙆 𝙔𝙊𝙐 to all of the Great American Patriots who have come out tonight, in support of @realDonaldTrumpat Walter Reed Medical Center. We’ll all get through this, TOGETHER! #MAGA’
Thank you so much! https://t.co/UL6P5lRjZI
