Trump Fires Off Multi-Tweet ALL CAPS Saturday Emotional Collapse

The “stable genius” veneer that President Donald Trump has tried to set up for himself is not very effective. On Saturday, he publicly melted down after an audio tape surfaced in which Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) can be heard harshly criticizing the president. In the tape, which was captured during a conversation with constituents earlier this week, Sasse referred to Trump as “a TV-obsessed narcissistic individual,” and the president apparently took this criticism very personally. On Saturday, as Americans continued to struggle through crises that he himself helped exacerbate, Trump publicly whined that “perhaps the Republicans should find a new and more viable candidate” for Sasse’s ongoing Senate race.

It seems pathetic that the president is so laser-focused on complaining about his opponents while, in the real world, Americans struggle. Using inane nicknames, Trump bellowed on Twitter:

‘Senator Little Ben Sasse of the Great State of Nebraska seems to be heading down the same inglorious path as former Senators Liddle’ Bob Corker… & Jeff “the Flake” Flake… Both Senators became totally unelectable, couldn’t come even close to winning their primaries, and decided to drop out of politics and gracefully “RETIRE”. @SenSasse could be next, or perhaps the Republicans should find a new and more viable candidate?’

After that meltdown — which was Trump’s second Sasse-related meltdown of the day — Trump issued an all-caps assertion that there is a “GIANT RED WAVE COMING!” There is not much evidence for this self-confident proclamation. Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden routinely leads Trump by double-digits in national-level polling, with just weeks to go until Election Day. On the U.S. Senate level, the Cook Political Report currently estimates that a full nine currently GOP-held seats that are on the ballot this year are either toss-ups or leaning towards the Democrats. As for the U.S. House, FiveThirtyEight estimates that Republicans’ chance of somehow gaining a majority in the chamber is in the single-digits as of Saturday. Meanwhile, FiveThirtyEight estimates that there’s an about 73 percent chance of Democrats’ winning control of the Senate as of that same time.

As Election Day approaches, the president and his campaign have nonsense to offer the American people.
