Fox News Reporter Debunks Hunter Biden Conspiracy In Blow To Trump

The Trump campaign has been feverishly pushing the idea that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is corrupt. During the final presidential debate on Thursday night, Donald Trump repeatedly claimed that Biden had been personally paid by a slew of foreign interests, which Biden insisted was unequivocally false and which the president didn’t have evidence for in the first place. The Trump campaign has brought out a man named Tony Bobulinski, who’s a former business partner of Joe Biden’s son Hunter and alleges that Joe Biden knew about a planned business venture in China — but Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich reveals that there is no evidence of a Joe Biden role in the enterprise in emails provided by Bobulinski.

Heinrich shared on Twitter:

‘I completed searching all of Tony Bobulinski’s emails. They establish: •the “Chairman” is China. • NO ROLE for Joe Biden in emails/docs • Tony Bobulinski states himself there are NO OTHER MEMBERS besides Hunter Biden, Jim Biden, Rob Walker, James Gillar, and Bobulinski’

Notably, the Wall Street Journal itself — whose opinion section originally hosted Bobulinski’s allegations — has also refuted the central allegation. As they reported this week, “Text messages and emails related to the venture that were provided to the Journal by Mr. Bobulinski, mainly from the spring and summer of 2017, don’t show either Hunter Biden or James Biden discussing a role for Joe Biden in the venture.” In other words, the Trump campaign’s dramatic supposed evidence of corrupt involvement by Joe Biden in a Chinese business venture is just about non-existent. Their end of election season push to pin this corruption on the former vice president isn’t working.

At the final presidential debate — where candidates’ respective mics were muted for a part of the time while the other candidate was speaking, which helped cut down on crosstalk — Trump falsely claimed that “Joe got $3.5 million from Russia and it came through Putin, because he was very friendly with the former mayor of Moscow and it was the mayor of Moscow’s wife.” Joe Biden insisted in response that he has “not taken a penny from any foreign source ever in my life.” The evidence is unequivocally on Joe Biden’s side. CNN, for instance, notes that the allegation of a $3.5 million payment from Russia for Joe Biden is unequivocally false. There is a documented payment of $3.5 million that the wife of a late former Moscow mayor gave a firm called Rosemont Seneca Thornton — but Hunter Biden co-founded a different firm called Rosemont Seneca Advisors, and Hunter denies the allegation that he received the money. There is no evidence that the payment was corrupt in the first place. It was an ordinary payment that was earmarked for “consultancy.”
