The Obamas are remaining vocal with days to go until Election Day. On Saturday, former President Barack Obama will be campaigning alongside Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in the critical swing state of Michigan, which the Obama-Biden presidential ticket won in both 2008 and 2012. Meanwhile, former First Lady Michelle Obama continues to lead her voter outreach organization called When We All Vote, which has been encouraging voter turnout across the country. On Friday, Barack and Michelle posted messages on Twitter in support of voters across the country who have been turning out in support of Biden.

Barack commented on Twitter:

‘What we do in these next four days will not just decide the next four years, but the future of this country. Let’s choose hope over fear. I’m counting on you.’

Barack shared some critical information in one of his own posts: a list of hotlines that voters can call if they run into problems while attempting to cast their ballot. Across the country, Republicans have consistently worked to turn back voting rights through means like curtailing access to polling places. In Texas, Republicans tried (unsuccessfully) to get an extension of early in-person voting thrown out, and elsewhere, Republicans have fought to throw out valid and originally on-time ballots that happen to arrive back at election authorities’ offices after Election Day because of slowed mail delivery.

Obama shared on Twitter:

‘An important reminder as millions of folks across the country vote early or make plans to vote on November 3: You have the right to vote. If you run into any issues at your polling place, call 1-866-687-8683 or your voter protection hotline.’

On Friday, Michelle admonished women in particular to make sure to make their voices heard in this election. By and large, according to polls, a majority of women tend to reject Trump. (It’s men — and white men, in particular — who most often lean towards Trump.)

Michelle shared the following message:

‘There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish when we use our voices and vote. With only days left before the election, we have to keep showing up in numbers that can’t be denied and voting like our lives depend on it. Vote for Joe and Kamala.’
