What is Donald Trump up to these waning days of his presidency? He has been uncharacteristically quiet. It appears that he has been hiding out in the White House probably watch TV, because he certainly is not doing his job. There are three possible reasons for this relative silence.
Perhaps, the president is living in an even more wildly disillusional world than before, unable to take in that he actually has lost. He is a world-class loser coping by means of his fantasies. Another possibility is that he is cooking up plans to take out his rage on his so-called enemies, and there are plenty in this category now. A final reason is that he is up to something truly morbid. If he cannot win, he will take the whole country down the fiery drain with him.
Business Investigative Reporter for The New York Times Jessica Silver-Greenberg may have clue about what is going on with 45. She dug out a transcript from one of the many lawsuits happening in courts all across the country. This is a dialogue between a judge and one of Trump’s attorneys:
‘THE COURT: Are you claiming that there is any fraud in connection with these 592 disputed ballots?
MR. GOLDSTEIN: To my knowledge at the present, no.
THE COURT: Are you claiming there is any undue or improper influence upon the elector with respect to these 592 ballots?
MR. GOLDSTEIN: To my knowledge at present, no.’
Silver-Greenberg tweeted that the “Fake News Media” is using Philadelphia Commissioner Al Schmidt and “RINO” to undermine the critical Philadelphia election. She claimed that Schmidt refused to consider a “mountain of corruption & dishonesty. We win!” That sounded as if there are definitely real examples of “Fake News.” Ironically, it falls on the Republican side.
