Fox News Host Chastises Trump After Morning Interview of Lies

Remember the old ads showing an egg frying? A voice said, “This is your brain on drugs.” It might as well have said, “This is Trump’s brain on losing.” He is seeing conspiracy theories underneath his bed and enemies behind every door. Now that POTUS is a lame-duck president, his minions are wandering away from him. The White House echoes in emptiness. People are no longer throwing down rose petals everywhere he walks.

Before, his sycophants crooned and pampered him. Everything he said was brilliant, and everything he did was amazing. What if rather than being boisterous, Trump may have believed everything he said? That would be everything from whistleblowers making false claims to POTUS having the “best words” and being “a stable genius.” Even Fox News recognized what was happening to the man after he appeared in an interview Sunday morning with Fox’s Maria Bartiromo.

The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency Director Chris Krebs, who was responsible for the country’s elections’ security released a statement after the election. He knew he was risking his career, that he would probably be fired for telling the truth. Still, Krebs served his country, not the president. He wrote, according to The Associated Press (AP):

‘There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised. The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history.’

Trump did, indeed, fire Krebs, a talented cybersecurity leader. During the president’s interview with Bartiromo, he once again attacked Krebs, who appeared on CBS’ 60 Minutes interview and disproved POTUS’ “farcical claims.”

After that, Bartiromo asked him:

‘Where is the DOJ and the FBI in all of this, Mr. President? You have laid out some serious charges here. Shouldn’t this be something that the FBI is investigating?’

Trump responded:

‘Missing in action. Can’t tell you where they are. I ask, are they looking at it? Everyone says yes, they’re looking at it.’

Fox’s Eric Shawn said, according to The Newsweek magazine:

‘All this despite the fact that his campaign has failed to prove any of this in court. In fact, your government, election officials experts and others, many of them Republican, including Trump-appointed officials, say that the president’s claims are false and unsubstantiated.’

POTUS repeated as fact a number of false statements on Bartiromo’s morning show. They were easily disprovable. He said that the ballots were counted after the first tallies had been reported. Not only would that be illegal, it simply was not true.

The president also blamed the Dominion Voting Systems company that built and maintained some of the voting and tabulation machines. Dominion’s statement read:

‘[Dominion] denies claims about any vote switching or alleged software issues with our voting systems.’

Trump argued:

‘You just take a look at…every swing that we’re talking about, and they did these massive dumps of votes. And all of a sudden, I went from winning by a lot to losing by a little.’

Fox’s Shawn fact-checked Trump’s comment after his interview with Bartiromo:

‘Officials say these are not illegal dumps. That’s just the counting of the many mail-in ballots that re-entered into the computer system.’

The president’s re-election campaign filed over 30 lawsuits focusing on elections departments across the US:

‘[The lawsuits alleged] misconduct and intentional manipulation in legal complaints that became more convoluted as the weeks drew on.’

‘While Trump, his campaign and a revolving group of attorneys representing the suits continue to insist that there is clear evidence to back their accusations, none has materialized in court.’
