Any time Rudy Giuliani is shushing you, it might be a mile past time to stop talking. Contract IT worker Melissa Carone was chosen by the Trump campaign to serve as a witness for the president. Can we just say, it was soon evident that might have been a very bad idea?
Melissa Carone claimed in interviews with right-learning media that ballots had been smuggled into the vote-counting centers inside food vans. Even Lou Dobbs was not buying it, though, and he will buy almost anything. Then, a couple of days later a Wayne County judge ruled, indicating that the woman’s allegations were “simply not credible, according to The Washington Post.
But there she was once again a month later. Giuliani had pulled Carone out again and dusted her off for the Michigan House and Michigan Senate Oversight Committees’ hearing. She was sitting next to Donald Trump’s fixer on Wednesday. Carone said:
‘Everything that happened at that TCF Center was fraud. Every single thing.’
Without warning, she began going after a Republican legislator. Her voice started breaking the sound barrier as she claimed as many as tens of thousands of votes were counted once, then one more time. That was when the president’s attorney shushed her. Those who thought Mr. My-Hair-Isn’t-Dyed was beyond all reason were surprised.
The video of this event went viral as soon as it was posted. Here was how it went. Carone told Michigan state Representative Steven Johnson (R):
”I know what I saw. And I signed something saying if I’m wrong, I can go to prison. Did you?’
On Election Day, Carone claimed she worked 24 hours straight at Detroit’s vote-counting operation at TCF Center. Her job was IT support for Dominion’s machines. The Republican legislator asked her about her statement that 30,000 voters were counted numerous times, but did not appear in the poll book, which is the record of how many absentee ballots were cast and in which precincts.
The lawmaker said:
‘We’re not seeing the poll book off by 30,000 votes.’
Carone’s lit firecracker went off:
‘What’d you guys do, take it and do something crazy to it?’
A second legislator mildly suggested that Carone should be “under oath” while she testified. That was when the fireworks really started:
“I am a mother, I have two children, I have two degrees. I don’t know any woman in the world that would write an affidavit under oath just to write it. You can go to prison for this.’
Then, the woman complained:
‘My life has been completely destroyed because of this.’
It appeared then, that Giuliani had scrapped the bottom of the barrel for this witness, and she was all he had left. Then, too, the Rudy and Donald show does not deal well with the female versions of themselves.
What she did was no more bizarre than what Donald Trump has been doing. His messages have been so bad that he had to tape his last 45-minute rant at the White House and post it on Facebook. None of the networks have been able to carry these diatribes, because POTUS tells so many lies.
Of course, he has noticed that now he is a lame-duck president, there have not been as many names on his dance card.
