When we hear Donald Trump say he has “big things” for us, it is hard to tell whether he means he is going to triple-size the hamburgers at the White House or that he is going to trade Arizona for Cyprus. It probably has something to do with his inability to believe that well over half the country does not like him.
Monday, he said he had “big things” in store for us that could overturn the election, and it or they would happen prior to the Electoral College’s final presidential election vote next week.
After an event in the Oval Office, he took a few questions. One of the reporters asked the president how his fixer and personal attorney Rudy Giuliani was doing. The lawyer had just tested positive for the SAR COVID-19 virus, and was confined to a hospital bed. Given that he is all that remains of the president’s legal team and talking heads, the timing was bad for POTUS. Trump responded, according to ABC News:
‘Rudy is doing well. I just spoke to him. He’s doing very well. No temperature and he actually called me ealy this morning. He was the first call I got. Now, he’s doing very well.’
Then, reporters asked him if his people might flip the election results prior to the December 14 formal Electoral College vote. POTUS repeated “It was a rigged election:”
‘The case has already been made if you look at the polls. It was a rigged election. You look at the different states, the election was totally rigged. It’s a disgrace to our country. It’s like a third-world country with these ballots pouring in from everywhere, using machinery that nobody knows ownership, nobody knows anything about.’
He added that his “big things” would be “happening over the next couple of days:”
‘I think the case has been made. And now we find out what we can do about it. But you’ll see a lot of big things happening over the next couple of days.’
Hopefully, he will forget about it.
