It appears that being fired has loosened Attorney General (AG) William (Bill) Barr’s tongue. Now, he appears to be speaking very freely. Monday morning, he gave a press briefing. Reporters had a series of sharp questions. They wanted to know how he felt about appointing a special counsel to investigate Donald Trump’s opponent President-elect Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden.
Barr said that he saw “no need for a special counsel.” If he thought that was the “right tool,” he would, but he does not. Then, reporters asked Barr whether he believed Russia was uniquely responsible for the recent systemic attacks on the USA. The AG said he agreed with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. “All signs lead to Russia, I agree with Pompeo:”

Then, reporters asked him about Trump’s alleged voting machine malfunction. Once again, Barr landed on the side of the end-of-the-line Republicans who were still in the administration.
