In an early tweet, The Vox reporter Aaron Rupar pointed to President-elect Joe Biden rolling up his sleeve to get his coronavirus vaccine. Biden’s wife, first-lady-in-waiting Jill Biden joined him. Next week, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will get her shot along with her husband, Doug Emhoff. The attorney will be the first man to hold the title of the First Gentleman. It takes a strong man to marry a strong woman.
The reason Harris and Emhoff waited a week was out of an abundance of caution. Biden and Harris wanted to make certain everything went well with his shot.
President Barack Obama has said that he and Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton will all receive televised vaccinations.
Rupar’s tweet pointed out that the frontline workers are owed “a lot:”
‘Joe Biden gets a coronavirus vaccine shot, then says, “We owe these folks a lot. The scientists and the people who put this together, the frontline workers, the people what were the ones that did the clinical work.”‘

Obama clarified that he would get his vaccination but only after Dr. Anthony Fauci had his. The world-renowned virologist’s inoculation was televised this morning. Tuesday morning Obama tweeted:
‘With COVID cases surging worse than ever, getting vaccinated is one of the most important things we can do. But until the vaccine is widely available, socially distancing and wearing masks will actually save even more lives, and alleviate the pressure on healthcare workers.’
