On Saturday morning, the day after Christmas, President Donald Trump freaked out on Twitter about topics ranging from the defense spending bill that he recently vetoed to the imaginary fraud that he claims plagued the recently concluded presidential election. In all, he posted at least 14 tweets and retweets on Saturday morning, sounding rather utterly desperate in the process. Among other whining, Trump complained that the defense spending bill “renames & destroys our forts & National Monuments,” taking issue with the provision in the legislation that would remove the names of Confederate leaders from military installations. Trump also reiterated his support for ending legal liability protections for social media companies, with which he has petulantly feuded.

As for the imaginary widespread election fraud that Trump claims swung the election to Biden, the president sounds like he’s living in delusion. In one post, Trump characterized the imaginary pro-Biden fraud as an “act of war,” which is disturbingly cultish and violent language from the sitting president of the United States. Trump complained that “Mitch & the Republicans do NOTHING, just want to let it pass,” as if there’s pretty much no segment of society outside of his base of supporters that Trump would be unwilling to suggest is complicit or in cahoots with a conspiracy against him. A top agency at the Department of Homeland Security, ex-U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr, and local election officials around the country have all confirmed that there is no legitimate evidence of systematic, election outcome-altering fraud.
Judges around the country, including a slew of Trump’s own appointees, have unequivocally rejected the president claims. Are these judges in on the imaginary fraud as well? On Saturday, Trump even petulantly complained about the Justice Department. He tweeted as follows:

Continuing to parade his inane grievances before the American people, who are struggling through the economic and public health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump also whined that John Durham, a U.S. Attorney who Barr tasked with investigating the origins of the Russia investigation, hadn’t come up with charges, or something. Trump claimed that his opponents “spied on my campaign, colluded with Russia (and others), and got caught,” which is false. The Obama administration’s judicially-supervised surveillance of an ex-Trump aide once that individual, Carter Page, no longer worked with Trump does not in any reasonable way equal spying on the Trump campaign.

Continuing his public whine-fest, Trump also complained that the U.S. Supreme Court — where three of his appointees currently sit — “has been totally incompetent and weak on the massive Election Fraud that took place in the 2020 Presidential Election.” No legitimate authority anywhere in the country has agreed with Trump’s fraud claims.
