Trump Rage-Tweets His Insecure Panic Attack After Veto Override

As the new year gets underway, President Donald Trump still isn’t admitting the basic reality of his recent election loss. On Friday — the first day of the new year — Trump even retweeted a message from one of his supporters who said that the “cavalry” would show up in D.C. on January 6, when Congress is scheduled to meet and certify the results of the electoral college. Trump referred to this cultishly described planned protest as “A great honor!”, freely amplifying the violent, delusional rhetoric of his supporters who think that it’s up to “patriots” to save the country from Chinese pawns and election fraudsters, or something.

On Friday, among other tweets and retweets, Trump also called for a primary challenge against Republican South Dakota Senator John Thune, who Trump referred to as a “RINO,” meaning “Republican in Name Only.” Like just about any other cultish movement, Trump’s vitriol towards those who don’t fully fall in line with his rhetoric has only seemingly grown as time has gone on. Is there anyone who Trump wouldn’t be willing to publicly denigrate and ridicule if a politically advantageous opportunity to do so presented itself? Recently, Thune has criticized the plans from some Republicans to challenge the electoral college totals when the numbers come up for Congressional certification on January 6. Republicans have planned this challenge — which is sure to completely fail — on the basis of concerns about imaginary election fraud.

On Friday, Trump insisted that “Massive amounts of evidence will be presented on the 6th,” adding that he “won, BIG!”, which is just total nonsense. If the Trump team has legitimate evidence of systematic election fraud, then where is it, and why haven’t they presented it at any point during the weeks of their frenzied post-election fight against Biden’s victory? Judges across the country, including a slew of the president’s own appointees, have rejected his claims, and officials across government have confirmed that there’s just no evidence backing Trump up.
