Picture this, if you can: a group of angry, armed, radicalized Muslim Americans gather in front of the Capitol Building after weeks of promising to take over the government in online forums. Shortly before storming the Capitol Building and murdering a police officer, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is pictured on camera walking past the group and raising a fist in solidarity with them. How quickly would the Republican Party demand that she be removed from office and tried for sedition?
A group of ex-staffers for Claire McCaskill are launching a new organization dedicated to preventing Josh Hawley from winning any further election, whether it's reelection to the Senate in 2024 or in a future presidential run. https://t.co/TMlwrN1jLr

On January 6, 2021, the day that violent, radicalized Trump supporters gathered in front of our nation’s Capitol Building and stormed the halls of Congress, screaming for blood and erecting a gallows pole to hang our elected officials, Josh Hawley (R-MO) was the elected official giving them a raised fist of solidarity. Now, a PAC in his own state, the same PAC that supported former Sen. Claire McCaskill’s elections, are coming together to fight to get Hawley removed from office.
According to POLITICO:
‘“Josh Hawley has no shame and put his own personal ambitions ahead of America. JOSH PAC will work to ensure that Hawley never wins another election,” the source said.’
EXCLUSIVE: A majority of GOP Sen. Josh Hawley’s constituents in Missouri believe he should resign after he led the effort to object to the 2020 election result after the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, according to a new poll from Data For Progress https://t.co/oDxmjy6kw2

Hawley’s campaign team scoffed at the news, reminding everyone that McCaskill lost her bid for reelection in 2018. However, McCaskill served for 12 years in the Senate. Hawley was elected just two months ago and already his constituents want him out and his Republican colleagues in Congress are ready for him to go. Further, Hawley has refused to acknowledge his part in inflaming anger with his rhetoric about a stolen election.
‘Hawley has largely been unapologetic, comparing his efforts to past Democratic challenges to elections. One major difference: The Democratic candidates had conceded those elections, while President Donald Trump kept fighting to overturn the election into last week.’
Yes it's true. We're coming for Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz in their home states. We will not let their treasonous and criminal acts go unnoticed.https://t.co/2dlQDfHgy6

Hawley insisted in statements to reporters that his challenge to the election is part of the democratic debate that prevents violence in this country. What is really was, however, was a lie meant to keep outraged dupes angry, and violence ensued.
‘Much of the media and many members of the Washington establishment want to deceive Americans into thinking those who raised concerns incited violence, simply by voicing the concern. But democratic debate is not mob violence. It is in fact how we avoid that violence.’
"It was like a Dukakis-on-the-tank moment," one Republican strategist said about the viral photo of Josh Hawley raising his fist toward the gathered pro-Trump crowd, "in that he just looked phony and out of place and like a doofus." https://t.co/DUSOxW0CKm
