Giuliani Has Delirious Response To Dominion Voting Lawsuit

On Monday, news emerged of a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems against Rudy Giuliani, a prominent defender of ex-President Donald Trump who helped spread the lie that Dominion had some role in the imaginary election-rigging that Trump allies claim swung the 2020 presidential election to Biden. Giuliani freaked out in response to the lawsuit, suggesting that the case could impede “the ability of lawyers to defend their clients vigorously” — and, true to form, he also reiterated the lies about Dominion’s credibility that sparked the lawsuit in the first place!

Giuliani ranted as follows:

‘Dominion’s defamation lawsuit for $1.3B will allow me to investigate their history, finances and practices fully and completely. The amount being asked for is, quite obviously, intended to frighten people of faint heart. It is another act of intimidation by the hate-filled left-wing to wipe out and censor the exercise of free speech, as well as the ability of lawyers to defend clients vigorously. As such, we will investigate a countersuit against them for violating these Constitutional rights.’

Check out his statement in the post below:

The idea that Giuliani’s behavior merely constituted a “vigorous” defense of his client, Donald Trump, is laughably ridiculous. What on earth did the campaign of unhinged lies about the presidential election have to do with any levelheaded defense of a client from their lawyer? At one point, Giuliani joined the Trump team’s legal team in a Pennsylvania court case over the election, but initially, Giuliani himself admitted that the particular case was “not a fraud case” as it then stood! The Trump team tried to re-amend their underlying lawsuit in that case, but courts denied these requests.

Prior to Joe Biden’s inauguration as president, Giuliani repeatedly claimed that a centrally planned nationwide election-rigging scheme unfolded and was responsible for Biden’s victory. Laughably, Giuliani failed to ever even comprehensively map out how this imaginary scheme occurred. Who was in charge? Where are the thousands of people whose cooperation would have been required for a nationwide election-rigging scheme? Where are the planning documents? One point that Giuliani did highlight, however, was his claim that Dominion was involved in the imaginary election-rigging. At one point, Trump himself joined in, claiming via his since-removed Twitter account that Dominion deleted millions of his votes from across the country. No legitimate evidence ever emerged in support of any of this nonsense.
